We’re working hard to open our doors in downtown Great Falls. The still equipment has arrived and we’re starting renovations soon. Like the maturation on a good whiskey – improvement comes with time.
This year we’ll be bottling up the best of Montana to handcraft the finest vodkas, whiskeys, gins and agaves — all made with local products cultivated right here in the Great Falls region. We will open our tasting room this winter, where you can experience small-town hospitality while you take in the big-time flavor.
We pour our heart into every bottle to ensure that each and every time you experience Mountain Wave Distilling, the quality and flavor are worthy of the place we call home. Mountain Wave is an allusion to the winds as they crest the mountains and form turbulence. The name Mountain Wave also speaks to the beauty of Montana and paints a picture of the clouds that wash over the Big Sky and splash over the central plains. Mountain Wave Distillery bottles up the best of Montana, ready for you whenever you need to rise from life’s lows and celebrate the highs.

About Us
Opening in 2023 at 313 Central Avenue in the Metropolitan Building in the heart of Downtown, Mountain Wave Distilling will be the first craft distilling business in Great Falls. The distillery will produce batch spirits through a farm-to-glass process using locally sourced grains and ingredients. Along with vodka, gin, agave and whiskey, Mountain Wave will produce seasonal spirits that capture the flavor of Montana’s wild and varied harvests.
We are a community-based business, dedicated to providing a space for friends, families and businesses to come together and enjoy all that Great Falls and Montana have to offer.
